TCAP REVIEW!!!!
Students will be using TCAP Coach books, Thinklink testing questions, and mini labs and demos.
Thursday - Students read section 2 of Chapter 15 (page 401), completed workbook pages (pages 122-124) for this section, defined vocabulary words on this content, and read lesson 34 in the Coach practice book. (All of this pertains to physical and chemical properties of matter.) Students will use this information to study for a quiz Wednesday, April 2.
Homework - Study physical and chemical properties for next week’s quiz. Study the first 20 elements and their symbols for a quiz, Next Friday, April 4th.
Friday - Students played a memory game with the elements and their symbols. They then created grafitti signs with information on physical and chemical properties.

Minority Scientist Letter
Students are to choose a minority scientist to research. Students are to pretend they work for this scientist, write a letter to a friend describing your scientist. Where and when they were born, where they did their work, what did they do, their background, etc.
This letter should be typed and include a picture. Also, bring food that represents your scientist. (It could be ethnic, or geographical) The food should only be enough for the class to sample.
