Discipline: Team 8C understands that discipline starts before the action occurs. Discipline starts with creating a relationship and building a rapport with the students as well as implementing effective classroom management. Discipline also starts with setting high expectations for students and creating a positive learning environment.
* Students will be accountable for their own actions.
Plan of Action:
Teachers will be PROACTIVE. Teachers will be certain that RULES and PROCEDURES are established in the beginning, thus eliminating any possible confusion among the students. If problems occur, the following actions will be taken.
1. Student’s seat will be moved.
2. Student may have to sit in another teacher’s room.
3. Student will lose privileges.
4. Parents will be notified about the behavior via phone, email, letter, or conference.
5. Student may have to write a maximum two- page essay about procedures, conduct, etc…
6. Students will have team ISS- the student may have to stay in a particular teacher’s room all day in an isolated area.
7. After school detention will be held.
8. Individual teachers will use discretion in determining disciplinary actions that are necessary for maintaining a positive learning environment.
